Luca Lo Po’ is a lawyer specialized in the law of financial markets and listed companies. He assists banks, investments fund and other financial institutions with reference to regulatory issues such as the MiFID, AIFMD and UCITS directives, the Market Abuse regulation, the Short Selling, the insurance legislation and the EMIR Regulation.
He manages equity capital markets, debt securities issues (domestic and international), including hybrid capitalization tools, structured products and public purchase offers. He is a member of the Milan Lawyer Association and is authorized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the United Kingdom as a Registered European Lawyer.
Luca has experience in banking and corporate law, M&A and corporate governance & compliance. He collaborated with the Listed Companies Supervision Division of Borsa Italiana S.p.A. and with leading law firms in London and Milan. Luca was mentioned in the Who’s Who Legal 2018 ranking as “Luca Lo Po’ is a top name in Italy and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of European and Italian regulation through which he is able to provide rapid, accurate assessments of a situation combined with pragmatic advice”.
He graduated in Law with honors at the Luigi Bocconi University of Milan. It achieves an LL.M. in “European Banking Law and Financial Regulation” at the London School of Economics & Political Science.
Luca is the author of various publications on financial market law and corporate law.
